Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving 2009 was spent with our friends, the Yanezes: Heidi, Alex, Victoria, Dominic, and baby Dani. Brandi worked with Heidi last year at Thornton Middle School. The Yanezes have lots of family within driving distance so Thanksgiving festivities were very well attended, indeed!
Heidi and Alex asked us to contribute some dishes to the potluck so Brandi did jalapeno, spinach, and artichoke dip, mac and cheese, maple cayenne sweet potatoes, and pumpkin cheesecake. I did "Good Eats" roast turkey and slow cooker stuffing. There was an impressive amount of food at the party.
As you might expect, most of the party was way into the football games, especially Oakland at Dallas (most yelling for Dallas) and Texas at Texas A&M (yelling divided pretty equally), which was significantly closer than anyone expected.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and would like to thank the Yanezes for including us!
